We encourage our employees to participate in community activities. Many of our management serve on boards and advisory bodies for a number of institutions. We believe that our efforts build awareness, pride, and camaraderie amongst our employees and the local community that benefits everyone.
Free to Breath
USA Mobility had a team that participated in the 2013 Free to Breathe Dallas walk/run to raise money for the National Lung Cancer Partnership. The National Lung Cancer Partnership was founded by physicians and researchers working together to increase lung cancer awareness and research funding. The team raised over $2,500 in donations for Free to Breathe.
Relay for Life
USA Mobility in Springfield participated in 2013 Relay for Life which benefits the American Cancer Society. The Relay began at 7:00 pm with a survivor’s walk. One hundred survivors and fighters of cancer walked the track for the beginning lap surrounded by 695 community members representing 56 teams. Our USMO team of twelve raised $5,246 along with the Relay for Life Springfield charter which raised over $167,978. The team lasted through the night with many laps around the track.
Susan G. Komen Race for A Cure
USA Mobility had a team participate in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in Dallas, Texas. The team raised over money for Susan G. Komen for the Cure. This is an annual event USA Mobility employees participate in and we look forward to many more years of supporting this very worthy cause.
Team USA Mobility completed Bike MS: RIde the Riverside, an annual fundraiser that supports education, outreach programs, and research into a cure for multiple sclerosis. The team raised a total of $12,065.00.
This was the third year USA Mobility participated in Bike MS and we look forward to participating in future years.
Friends of Orphans
USA Mobility and Amcom Software are proud to be Bronze sponsors of the Cinco de Mayo 5K Walk/Run in St. Paul, MN.This is a casual family fundraiser for runners and walkers that supports Friends of the Orphans. Their mission is to improve the lives of orphaned, abandoned and disadvantaged children through a network of orphanages in Latin America and the Caribbean called Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos, which is Spanish for "Our Little Brothers and Sisters".
Walk to End Alzheimer's
USA Mobility had a team participate in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s, the nation’s largest fundraiser to support care and research into causes of dementia and promote brain health. Our USA Mobility team joined others in the Washington, DC Walk.
